Youth Day – May 4th, 2024 – SUCCESS!!!

Youth Day at the Isanti County Sportsmen’s Club was a great success!

Youth Day was sponsored by the

Isanti County Sportsman Club
MDHA Isanti County Chapter
DU Rum River Chapter
PF Isanti County Chapter
RGS Rum River Chapter

This event was open to youth ages 17 and under (parents must be a member of one of the sponsoring organizations).

To start out the morning, Isanti County Sheriff’s Department officers were there with their K-9 units to put on an exhibition. Next up. there were a variety of activities for the older kids including several shooting stations to try archery, handguns, rifles, .22s, and muzzleloaders.

Younger kids were able to participate in other events including a BB gun shoot, coloring contest, and a nature walk. Lunch was provided to everyone in attendance. Right after lunch, prizes were given out. Afternoon events included more games, bird house building, trapshooting, turkey shoot and some arts & craft projects.

The day started out cold and rainy but ended up warm and sunny. It was a great day with about 100 kids in attendance!
